Living abroad can add another layer of complexity. Being far from family, familiar systems, or trusted support networks can make the everyday challenges of parenting feel heavier.
Parenting can be deeply meaningful, but it can also be demanding and overwhelming at times. Many parents find themselves trying to balance work, relationships, and personal wellbeing while also caring for their children.
Some parents seek counselling when they notice:
- persistent stress or exhaustion
- feelings of guilt or self-doubt about parenting
- difficulties balancing different responsibilities
- challenges related to relocation, work, or family life
- concerns about their child’s wellbeing or their relationship with them
Psychological counselling can offer a supportive space to reflect on these experiences, understand what is happening beneath the surface, and find ways to move forward with more clarity and self-compassion.
My approach is respectful and collaborative. Rather than offering rigid advice, I work with parents to explore what feels meaningful and sustainable for them and their families.
If you are a parent living in Maastricht or abroad and feel that support could be helpful, you are very welcome to reach out.
